Today I start to post a small series of tapes called "African Hits", which appeared on the Rwandan market during the 1980s. I don't know where they came from (probably Kenya?). But they were the only chance to get music from then Zaire.
Maybe one of my readers has seen such a tape (I have vols 1 to 7) and can add information about them, e.g. where they have seen them, who compiled them, where they were produced ..., was there another vol. above no. 7, etc.?
The quality varies but is partly quite good. It's definitely good for a Saturdaynight!
So please enjoy!
