As I've promised earlier today I would like to share "The Wind of Change", a song from the "SWAPO Freedom Songs" LP, here with Robert Wyatt and produced by Jerry Dammers! It was Dammers' next step on African matters after "Nelson Mandela" and "Starvation". The horn section is by Dick Cuthell on flugelhorn/trumpet and Annie Whitehead on trombone. Annie replaced Rico on several occasions in the UK post-2Tone scene. And she's done well.

Namibia on the flipside of the single is actually my favourite track and it still sounds amazing all these years later (as does Wind Of Change).....I had always assumed it was Rico on the trombone which I guess is the highest of compliments for Annie Whitehead!

The Nambia track on the 12 inch is slightly crackly at the start but a very decent rip and the 7 inch rip is in M4A audio file format but I just used the audio converter freeware Foobar2000 to convert to MP3 and having tried many audio converters strangely its this free one that is the best..there's a lesson in there somewhere!
