This was the first release by Les Frères Guisse from Senegal who are still more or less active and released their last album in 2008 (Yakaar) which may still be available at various online traders. Some of their actual songs can be heard here at MySpace.

I have to post something more before month's end. So why not another single from the African label? It's from 1972. And African Fiesta seems to play without Dr. Nico. The Orch. had several changes in line-up during that time.

L'Afrique Danse avec Mpongo Love (African 360.102)

Mpongo Love was one of the early successful female voices in Zaire's popular music. Born in 1956 she died already in 1990 suffering on cerebral miningitis. (More here at Tambour d'Afrique). Handicaped since her childhood she must have been a strong woman.
